Even though my children love to read I still seek opportunities to encourage them to continue throughout the summer. I am going to involve my children in as many programs as possible. Here are just a few I have found so far, besides our local public library. These can all be done on-line. Each program sounds wonderful and has incentives and rewards that encourage them along the way. There is even a Read for a World Record in the Scholastic Reading Program.
I am so excited for summer!
Borders is also doing one! I'm excited to get Arianna reading on her own. I remember LOVING to read and read as a kid. It was so empowering!!! I'm also going to do all the programs I can find! I'm excited!!!
ReplyDeleteWhen my kids were little we did stuff like this every summer, I love it. Dagny has asked that her summer not be over scheduled because she just wants time to read.
