This evening Kendrick achieved the rank of 1st Class
and received 16 merit badges at his Court of Honor.
He is following in the footsteps of his father
and three older brothers who are all Eagle Scouts.
Kendrick is determined to earn his Eagle
earlier and with more merit badges than they did.
This is quite a goal, especially since the youngest
to receive his Eagle was 14 and all of them
received over 40 merit badges.
It was great to see all of his brothers
there to support him this evening.
It meant a great deal to Kendrick.
I am so happy to see Kendrick work so hard
at such a worthwhile goal.
He is an amazing young man.

Because it is the beginning of the school year I am so swamped and overwhelmed. I am sorry I could not come tonight...but I want Kendrick to know how pleased I am with the decision he's made. I am excited for him to show me his merit badges when I see him tomorrow! Great job Kendrick! Love you! :)
