We just finished expanding, fencing and planting my
2nd garden. I am so excited!
This garden is a 6 x15 about half the size of my first one.
There is not much to see yet, but I can be patient.
One of the most delightful things
about a garden
is the anticipation it provides.

Garden #1 Winter Squash
and Tomatoes
I have found that my children (Kendrick excluded) eat more fruits and vegetables when they can go out and pick them for themselves. My granddaughter Arianna was complaining about being hungry this morning. I gave her several options to choose from, none of which appealed to her. To remedy the situation I took her by the hand and out to the garden. There we choose a carrot that was ripe for the picking. I reached over the fence and pulled it out. There was a look of complete delight on her face. We took the carrot into the kitchen and washed it. She sat at the table and ate the entire carrot with the greens still on. The funny thing is that one of the foods I offered her out of the refrigerator was a carrot. :)
Arianna is too funny! I know she loves to eat from your garden!!! Looks good now that it is finished. :)
