Mar-Kell had a job interview yesterday and was hired right away. The only bad part is that his job does not begin until mid-July. School doesn't start until August and he is the first of all of his friends to return from his mission, so what do you do when there is nothing to do? You help your mother. All day every day I hear:
- How can I help you?
- Do you need anything?
- Do you know anyone who needs service done?
- Is there anywhere you need me to go, something I need to pick up for you?
- Can I take the kids to the park, the pool, anything?
Please give me something to do.
After helping all morning in the garden
he set to work grinding wheat.
I don't think my mission prepared me for this.

Leave it to Mar-Kell to make grinding wheat such an adventure! Good thing you had him do it outside. :)
ReplyDeleteGood times!!! He'll remember these times with great fondness. Once the job starts and school and dating and all that, he will wonder where all is free time went!!!
